

WILMINGTON, OH (Jan. 8, 2025)— The Great Oaks Career Campuses Board of Directors held its annual reorganization meeting on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The Board elected JB Stamper ( Wilmington City Schools) as the new Chair and Sandy Harrod ( Hamilton County Educational Service Center) as Vice Chair. Ron Friend (Fairfield Local) was appointed as parliamentarian to the board. Mary Cleveland (Princeton City Schools) appointed as the legislative liaison to the Ohio Schools Board Association (OSBA). Terry Gibson (Lockland School District) was appointed the liaison for Association for the Career and Technical Education (ACTE) .
The Board of Directors also set monthly meeting dates for 2025. Meeting dates, times and locations will be posted on the district’s website, greatoaks.com.
Great Oaks is the largest career and technical education district in Ohio and one of the largest in the nation. There are 36 affiliate school districts that cover 2,200 square miles of southwestern Ohio, with approximately 3,000 juniors and seniors at four campuses, studying in over 30 programs. Additionally, Great Oaks serves over 18,000 middle school and secondary students through satellite programs in districts throughout the region. There are also over 13,000 adult learners training in a wide range of fields.
