South Street Repaving & Improvements Project To Begin Monday, April 14th

WILMINGTON, Ohio (April 9, 2025)—The City of Wilmington announces the commencement of the South Street Repaving and Improvements project, with lane closures beginning Monday, April 14, 2025, weather permitting.
The South Street Repaving and Improvements project includes curb and sidewalk replacement along South Street between Main Street and Locust Street. South Street will be repaved between Main Street and Columbus Street.
Motorists should expect lane closures and lane shifts beginning on April 14 and ending on or before June 30, weather permitting. Traffic will be maintained; however, motorists should anticipate and prepare for delays.
The City of Wilmington is managing the project. L.J. DeWeese Co., Inc. has been awarded the construction contract.
The South Street Repaving and Improvements project is funded by the City of Wilmington General Fund, Permissive Tax Fund, and State Highway Tax Fund.
