WCS Board Plans to Discuss Levy Failure Impact

Wilmington City Schools (WCS) board meeting on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Wilmington Middle School (WMS).

Before the board started their official business, WMS reported that grades 6–8 improved end-of-year testing scores and recognized student council members, including one student who recently saved a former classmate from choking on a mint in the bathroom by performing the Heimlich.

After the board conducted their official business, they set a date of Monday, June 5th from 4pm–8pm to discuss what will be the impact of the levy failure on May 2, 2023, and to plan for the 5th attempt at passing the levy in November of this year.
